Our research project TextileMission is coming to an end after more than three years of research. We would like to take this opportunity to share with you the insights gained, promising approaches to solutions and necessary further steps. What are the extent and causes of microplastic emissions from textiles? What are the findings from textile research and water chemistry? And above all: What approaches are there to reducing microplastic input into the environment? These and other questions will be in the focus of our expert conference on March 17, 2021, which will take place as an online-only event due to the current situation.
Key data of the event:
Date: March 17, 2021
Time: 9.30 a.m. to ca. 2.30 p.m.
Language: German (with English translation)
The aim of the event will be to present core results of the BMBF-funded project "TextileMission" and derived recommendations for science, industry, consumers and politics in more detail. There will also be plenty of space for your questions.
- Causes and extent of microplastic shedding from textiles
- Development of low-emission textiles
- Retention of textile microplastics in wastewater treatment plants
